Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri with 10 years of experience providing direct mental health and behavioral counseling. I have worked with children, adults, and families in a variety of settings and for a myriad of issues such as: anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, parenting, anger management, community violence, phase-of-life problems, relationship issues, and family issues. I am passionate about helping people feel connected and whole and helping them build skills to conquer life’s challenges. I approach the therapeutic relationship with sensitivity towards you and your experience, a focus on what you desire from our time together, and respect for multi/cross-cultural factors and influence.

I have experience providing therapy in a variety of settings, including individual (office and home settings), group, and family therapy. I also have experience providing individual therapy in the virtual setting. My experience is varied and comprises work in social service and residential care settings, and it includes over 13 years of quality improvement work in behavioral health. Therefore, my therapeutic approach, though client-centered and trauma-focused, is also influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Systems Theory.

The decision to engage in therapy is an important one, and choosing a therapist who can meet your needs is critical. If you are looking for a laid-back yet goal-oriented, supportive, and challenging therapist, I am the therapist for you. I believe therapy works if you work it!
