Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sarné (Shar-nay), a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of nursing and psychiatric experience. I believe mental health care should feel supportive, comfortable, and free of judgment. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, stress, and life transitions.

As a professional, mom, and caregiver myself, I understand how overwhelming life can become, and I’m passionate about helping people feel more balanced, hopeful, and like themselves again.

I am committed to lifelong learning and providing care grounded in the latest evidence. I am currently completing advanced training to become a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP) through the Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health Professionals program. This training expands my knowledge of nutrition, sleep, physical activity, stress management, and other evidence-informed lifestyle approaches that may complement traditional psychiatric treatment when appropriate. These strategies are integrated thoughtfully and are never intended to replace proven psychiatric care.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best psychiatric care happens when science, compassion, education, and healthy lifestyle practices come together to support the whole person—not just treat symptoms.

I take a collaborative, person-centered approach that combines comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management when appropriate, supportive therapy, healthy lifestyle strategies, and evidence-based psychoeducation. I believe that informed clients are empowered to make confident decisions about their mental health. Together, we will explore your concerns, discuss evidence-based treatment options, and develop a personalized care plan that reflects your goals, values, and lifestyle.

Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, or life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Together, we’ll work toward improving your mental well-being, building resilience, and helping you move forward with renewed hope.

What you can expect from me

Start with a Free 15-Minute Consultation

Choosing a psychiatric provider is an important decision. That’s why I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your concerns, answer questions about my approach to care, and determine whether we’re a good fit for one another. While this consultation is not a diagnostic evaluation or treatment session, it provides an opportunity to learn more about my practice and what to expect.

Your First Appointment

If you decide to move forward, your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to help me understand you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns at your own pace.

During the evaluation, we’ll discuss your current symptoms, mental and physical health history, medications, lifestyle, sleep, stressors, relationships, and treatment goals. We’ll also review any previous mental health treatment to develop a complete understanding of your needs.

Together, we’ll discuss potential diagnoses (when appropriate) and explore evidence-based treatment options. If medication is recommended, I’ll explain the benefits, potential risks, possible side effects, and answer any questions you may have. We may also discuss supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and healthy lifestyle strategies that can complement your treatment plan.

Before your appointment ends, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan based on your goals, preferences, and clinical needs. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the next steps, including recommendations, any prescriptions if appropriate, follow-up care, and ongoing support.

My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, informed, respected, and hopeful as we begin working together toward lasting mental wellness.
