Great to meet you!

I have always known I wanted to help others, be it teaching or healthcare. I believe that every person has the capacity within themselves to live a life that's connected to what's important to them, we just have to address the roadblocks to getting there. I find tremendous reward and satisfaction working with my clients to navigate their own path of recovery by learning more about how to harness and grow this inner strength in order to bring them to a better place.

My approach to therapy

I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly about the thoughts you’re afraid to say out loud. I specialize in OCD (all subtypes) and anxiety disorders. I use exposure and response prevention which is the science-based gold-standard treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder. The work is structured, compassionate, and collaborative.

What you can expect from me

I will spend the first few minutes of your session reviewing the paperwork you completed, policies, and answering any questions you may have. I will then invite you to share your story and describe any current concerns or challenges you may be experiencing. Sometimes clients tell me they don't know where to start or what to say and that's ok! I will ask you questions to help guide you in an effort to better understand your experience. I am conservative in my diagnostic and treatment planning approach, so your second session is often a continuation of getting to know you, your strengths, areas for growth, and values. You will likely be asked to complete an assessment to establish a baseline measure of your symptoms. You and I will collaboratively identify specific, measurable treatment goals that are consistent with your values.
