Great to meet you!

Sasha (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working as a psychotherapist across a variety of settings, including school sites, youth development programs, clinics, and private practice. Growing up with both parents working in the mental health field, her exposure to psychology and emotional attunement began early, and her passion for the field took root in her teenage years through peer counseling and working in a residential home for boys. She currently works with adolescents, young adults, and adults in private practice.

My approach to therapy

Sasha’s approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. She strives to create a space where clients feel both supported and empowered — supported in the places where they are hurting, and empowered to recognize their own strength, choices, and capacity for change. Her work incorporates psychodynamic theory, mindful somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

What you can expect from me

In the initial session, Sasha will learn more about what is bringing you into therapy at this time. She will ask questions to build a connection, create safety, and better understand your hopes for therapy. By the end of the first session, you can expect to feel a sense of safety and connection and a mutual understanding about the focus of therapy going forward.
