Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University and a background in criminal justice and international studies from St. John’s University.

I have experience working with children, families, and individuals across a variety of settings. My work has included facilitating parenting groups, support groups, individual therapy, and providing case management services. I have also supported individuals involved in the criminal justice system, as well as those navigating substance use and severe mental illness.

These experiences have shaped my understanding of the unique challenges people face and strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care. I strive to create a supportive and welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can show up as your authentic self and feel truly heard.

I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach, meeting you where you are and working at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and Motivational Interviewing to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, while building practical tools for change.

I am passionate about empowering clients and validating their experiences. I believe your feelings are valid, and therapy should be a space where you can explore all parts of yourself openly. This is a collaborative process—your goals guide the work, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, judgment-free space. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, any challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

I approach the first session through a person-centered and trauma-informed lens, focusing on building trust and helping you feel safe. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—I will meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you.

We’ll also begin to identify your goals and what support looks like for you. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, validated, and more confident about taking the next steps in your healing journey.
