Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sasheen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a unique background in both mental health and nursing. Since 2022, I’ve worked with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, and complex stressors. I believe therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and tailored to you — not one-size-fits-all.

I earned my Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Misuse from University of Texas at Arlington, and I’ve also been a Licensed Vocational Nurse since 2012. With over a decade of healthcare experience, I bring a holistic perspective to therapy — understanding both the emotional and physical aspects of well-being.

My approach to therapy

My therapy style is compassionate, grounded, and practical. I value active listening, empathy, and working together to identify goals that feel meaningful and achievable. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

I’m especially passionate about helping clients build resilience, strengthen boundaries, improve communication, and reconnect with their sense of self. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for support, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping will change, and any concerns or questions you may have. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — you can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll ask questions about your current stressors, mental health history, relationships, coping patterns, and strengths so I can better understand the full picture of your life. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and discussing what therapy might look like moving forward.

This session is also an opportunity for you to decide if I’m the right fit for you. Therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and respected. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself.

By the end of our first meeting, you can expect to have: • A clearer understanding of your therapy goals • A general plan for future sessions • Space to ask questions about the process • Support in taking the first step toward change

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but you don’t have to have it all figured out. Showing up is enough.
