Great to meet you!

I have always been passionate about people and their individuality. My appreciation for this led to my bachelor's studies in psychology to better understand human thinking and behavior. I went on to obtain a master's in professional counseling all while gaining hands on experience in the field. I took on roles as substance abuse counselor at the intensive outpatient level and then intensive in home family counseling and then group and individual counseling. These experiences have helped to shape me to the counselor I am today, culturally competent, versatile in interventions and an eclectic approach to treatment individualized for each client served. I generally work with people ages 16 and up.

My approach to therapy

My style is eclectic, pulling from multiple discplines of therapy for individualized approach and absolutely no cookie cutter. No two people are the same just as no two books are the same. These approaches may include but is not limited to, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, REBT, cognitive processing, and motivational interviewing. In couples session I am proficient in couples solution focused, Gottman therapy and ESFT for couples and for family work. Family systems can be integrated into treatment as well to further explore the childhood and/or group influences that shape my clients perception of self and the world.

What you can expect from me

Clients should expect to be appointed a safe space to paint the picture of what their life is like in real time and what is the end goal. They can expect to feel heard, understood, and validated.
