Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Scott, and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker and psychotherapist practicing in WV. I am solution focused, supportive, empathetic, humorous, and very direct (I do not sugar coat). I strive to create an empowering environment to assist clients in achieving their stated treatment goals. I work with client's ages 13 and up and strive to assist my clients in finding healthy solutions to assist them in reaching their goals.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I feel a good therapeutic relationship is essential to the healing process and requires teamwork. Honesty is a critical part of this relationship, and I strive to be as open as possible. I am very straightforward and at the same time I try to be warm and empathetic.

What you can expect from our first session

I try to create an empowering and supportive environment for my clients so that they feel more comfortable discussing their concerns, issues, and stressors. I also use various treatment modalities to teach emotional regulation skills and distress tolerance skills that can be very useful outside of therapy.
