Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Scott. I am a caring, nonjudgmental, and empowering individual and love the work that I do. I have a Masters of Science from Monmouth University and hold an LPC and ACS. I have been in the field for many years, and worked in various settings, including outpatient and intensive outpatient settings. I have led a trauma program for victims of crime as well as a clinical case management program focusing on all areas of wellness. I have worked with numerous populations, including clients with chronic mental health, clients with identity and multicultural experience barriers, as well as life adjustment hardships. Some of my passions include music, travel, and fantasy novels! I am looking forward to being your therapist!

My approach to therapy

My biggest desire for therapy is to allow clients to genuinely feel heard and understood. I have a warm, humorous disposition, and love using those qualities in therapy. My clients deserve to feel supported and encouraged throughout their journey. I am trauma focused and client centered, and can be direct but sensitive when my clients need feedback. I thoroughly enjoy celebrating growth and successes with my clients and always open to utilizing techniques and approaches that my clients prefer and fits their therapy style.

What you can expect from me

My clients will automatically know that they can move as fast or as slow as they prefer. Rapport and trust are tenants of therapy and I want to be able to build a positive immediate connection with my clients. My clients will feel comfortable knowing that they can share deep concepts with me and not feel any judgment. They can expect to leave session feeling confident about returning due to warm vibes and being genuinely listened to.
