Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. I prioritize the creation of a safe, supportive, welcoming therapeutic relationship within which you may begin to address the challenges in your life without fear of judgment, criticism, or advice-giving. I've been practicing for 13 years, with advanced training in EMDR and ACT therapy. I've worked with a wide array of different folks from an array of backgrounds, and I enjoy working with adults seeking support on overcoming anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support client with affecting change in the present and building the lives they want to live. But I've also learned that sometimes the past can be so painful that it makes taking action in the present very difficult. I utilize Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to support my clients with resolving painful memories and traumas that block them from living their best lives.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect a variety of things from any given session: the development of insight and understanding; specific tools to help work effectively with powerful thoughts and feelings; resolution of past traumas; the enhancement of existing strengths and skills; a solid relationship built on respect, trust, and collaboration; and occasionally (when the moment calls for it) levity and camaraderie.
