Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Scott and I'm glad you are here- I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pasadena, CA. I have worked in mental healthcare for 13 years and am also a professional musician and artist.

I am passionate about working with creative professionals, highly sensitive & neurodivergent people navigating identity issues, trauma, anxiety, self doubt and burn out. I am passionate about helping you reconnect with your most authentic Self and healing from the effects of relational trauma, or just the pain of feeling "different", misunderstood or like an outsider.

I engage with my clients as a real, genuine person and deeply value the connection and healing that can happen in the therapy relationship.

My approach to therapy

Whether you are seeking deeper self-understanding, healing from childhood trauma, longing for more authentic relationships or are motivated to unlock your creative potential, I will be a tireless and compassionate advocate and guide alongside you.

I use Somatic work, IFS (Parts work), Mindfulness, Strengths Based, Narrative and Feminist Therapies to support you in your growth and healing.

I find healing in the integration of opposites and artfully blend warmth with directness, insight with felt experience, intellect and emotion, acceptance and change.

What you can expect from me

I seek to create an environment where your most authentic self is celebrated and developed, where any and all parts of you can be explored with depth and held with compassion.

In our initial sessions we will explore your goals and hopes for therapy, getting to the heart of what it is you need and desire most as well as what may be getting in the way.

As a deeply feeling person and an artist I do not shy away from the depths of emotion including grief, anger, anxiety or existential angst. When these can be shared with compassion and understanding we can open to joy, security, possibility, creativity and connection.
