Great to meet you!

You do not have to keep white-knuckling your way through anxiety, emotional numbness, or the constant need to distract yourself just to get through the day. With 7 years of clinical experience treating anxiety and mood disorders, I bring deep conviction to this work. I entered the field after experiencing the transformative impact of therapy firsthand, and my goal is to provide that same sense of shelter, healing, and strength to you. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in avoidance, caught in cycles of stress, or unsure how to understand what their emotions are trying to communicate. My approach is direct, grounded, and nonjudgmental, with a focus on helping you build emotional awareness, resilience, and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, practical, and focused on helping you build a different relationship with your emotions. I believe emotions are not problems to erase — they are important information about your needs, boundaries, values, and experiences. In session, we may work on increasing emotional literacy, identifying avoidance patterns, understanding anxiety or mood symptoms, reducing reliance on distractions, and building tools to tolerate discomfort without being ruled by it. I draw from mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This may include noticing and restructuring unhelpful thoughts, practicing grounding skills, strengthening emotional regulation, clarifying values, and taking actionable steps toward a life that feels less controlled by fear, numbness, or overwhelm.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, the focus is assessment, alignment, and creating a clear starting point. We will map the specific symptoms bringing you to therapy, understand how anxiety, emotional numbness, avoidance, stress, or mood changes are affecting your life, and establish a baseline for your current functioning. We will also define measurable goals for our work together so therapy feels focused, useful, and connected to real change. You can expect a direct, nonjudgmental environment where we focus on understanding your current emotional state and identifying actionable steps for intervention. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, more organized around what is happening, and clearer about how we can begin moving forward.
