Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) with more than 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build practical skills while gaining deeper insight into themselves and their relationships.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, substance use, self-esteem challenges, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals who are navigating grief, family conflict, career concerns, and recovery from addiction.

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop effective coping strategies, and create realistic goals that align with your values and vision for the future.

Throughout my career, I have worked in community mental health, addiction treatment, case management, leadership, and private practice settings. This diverse background allows me to understand the complexities of mental health, recovery, and personal growth from multiple perspectives. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, struggling with motivation, experiencing relationship difficulties, or simply seeking greater fulfillment, I strive to provide a supportive environment where you can feel heard, challenged, and empowered.

I believe that therapy is not about becoming a different person—it's about becoming more fully yourself. My goal is to help you develop the skills, confidence, and insight needed to navigate life's challenges and move toward the life you want to create.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and strengths-based. I integrate CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy should provide both insight and actionable strategies, helping clients move from feeling stuck to living with greater confidence, purpose, and emotional balance.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to be welcoming, conversational, and focused on understanding their unique situation rather than immediately trying to "fix" problems. The first session will emphasize building rapport, gathering information, identifying strengths, and beginning to establish meaningful goals for treatment.
