Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience helping adolescents, adults and families navigate trauma, anxiety, life, transitions, relationships, and other complex challenges. My approach is practical collaborative and grounded in the belief that therapy should help people make meaningful changes in their actual lives, not simply understand the problems better. My background includes extensive work in trauma informed and experiential therapy, including EMDR, mindfulness based approaches, internal family systems, and other evidence informed practices. I work to create a comfortable straightforward environment where clients can explore what is getting in the way, recognizing their strengths and develop approaches that genuinely fit who they are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical collaborative and individualized. I don't believe Therapy should feel like something being done to you. We work together to understand what is happening, identify what is keeping you stuck, and find approaches that fit your life. I draw for more than 20 years of clinical experience and use trauma informed approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness Based CBT, and experiential techniques. I tend to be straightforward curious and focused on helping clients create meaningful change rather than simply talking about problems.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily a conversation. I want to understand what brought you to therapy, what is happening in your life now, what has and hasn't worked before, and what you would like to be different. We will begin identifying goals together, but I don't expect you to arrive with everything figured out. Just come as you are. By the end of our first few sessions. We should have a shared understanding of where we're headed and what might help us get there.
