Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life transitions, emotional distress, and relationship challenges. My background includes clinical counseling, leadership development, and trauma-informed care, with a strong focus on communication, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Before entering full-time clinical practice, I served in senior leadership roles and worked extensively with veterans, first responders, couples, and individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, anger, and identity transitions. This experience allows me to bring both structure and empathy into the counseling space.

Clients often describe me as calm, direct, and supportive. I value creating a safe, respectful environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes at a pace that fits your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and evidence-based. I draw from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), TEAM-CBT, and Gottman-informed strategies, depending on your goals and needs. I also integrate trauma-informed and strengths-based perspectives to support lasting growth.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, therapy with me is intentional and tailored. We work together to understand patterns, improve emotional awareness, strengthen communication, and develop tools you can use outside of the session. I believe therapy should be both compassionate and actionable, helping you gain insight while also building skills that move you forward.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, low-pressure conversation focused on understanding what brought you to therapy and what you hope to change. We'll review relevant background information, discuss current concerns, and identify priorities together.

My goal in the first session is for you to feel safe, respected, and transparent about the next steps. We will begin forming a plan that fits your goals, whether that involves emotional support, skill-building, relationship work, or stress management. There is no expectation to "have it all figured out"—we take this process one step at a time, together.
