Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical counselor with more than 30 years of experience working with individuals and families facing a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns. I earned a Master's degree in Counseling from Malone College, a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Bowling Green State University, and an Associate's degree in Equestrian Studies from the University of Findlay. Throughout my career, I worked in a variety of behavioral health settings and have specialized in the treatment of substance use disorder for more than 20 years. I have experience helping youth and adults navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, grief, and co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and goal-oriented. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I believe in the power of humor when appropriate, recognizing that laughter and perspective can be valuable tools in the healing process. I also believe in being honest and direct when needed, offering constructive feedback and gentle challenges to help clients gain insight and move toward their goals.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a supportive and goal-oriented environment where you can share your story at your own pace. My primary focus is getting to know you, learning about your background and to understand what has brought you to counseling at this point in your life.
