Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely safe, understood, and accepted without judgment. I know how difficult it can be to open up, especially when you’ve spent a long time carrying things on your own or feeling misunderstood by others. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as your full self without feeling pressured to have everything figured out.

I take a collaborative and strength-based approach to therapy, meaning we work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck while also recognizing the strengths you already have within you. I believe healing is not about “fixing” who you are — it’s about helping you better understand yourself, build healthier patterns, and move toward the version of your life that feels more grounded, fulfilling, and authentic.

Clients often describe me as warm, open-minded, supportive, and easy to talk to. I balance empathy with honesty and practical tools so that therapy feels both emotionally supportive and genuinely helpful in your everyday life. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, I want you to know you do not have to go through it alone

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I work to create a supportive space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves without fear of judgment.

I use a strength-based and trauma-informed approach that helps clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and lived experiences. My goal is to help clients not only cope with current challenges, but also build long-term emotional resilience, self-awareness, and confidence in their ability to navigate life’s difficulties.

I often integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy depending on the client’s goals and needs. I believe in balancing emotional support with practical strategies, so clients leave sessions feeling both heard and empowered with tools they can apply in their everyday lives.

As a culturally responsive and LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I also recognize the importance of identity, environment, and systemic experiences in the healing process. I strive to provide a therapeutic relationship that feels genuine, collaborative, and grounded in trust.

Ultimately, my approach is centered on helping clients reconnect with themselves, strengthen healthier patterns, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable for them.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to feel welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even intimidating, so my goal is to create a space where you can begin to feel safe, heard, and understood from the very beginning.

During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once — we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll also ask questions about different areas of your life, including relationships, emotional well-being, stressors, coping patterns, and personal history, so I can gain a fuller understanding of your experiences and how best to support you. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals for therapy and exploring what healing and growth might look like for you.

Clients often leave the first session feeling relieved, more hopeful, and reassured that they don’t have to navigate things alone. My priority is helping you feel supported while building a strong therapeutic connection rooted in trust, authenticity, and collaboration.
