Great to meet you!

Greetings!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Georgia with over 14 years of experience providing psychotherapy.

I studied family systems and earned a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Sophia University in Palo Alto, CA (formerly the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology)..

My work has focused on family systems, substance abuse, trauma, depression and grief and loss.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My Theoretical Orientation is primarily influenced by Family Systems, Psychosynthesis and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My theoretical approach is based in the belief that individuals are uniquely layered and the work we do together helps them to uncover those layers, explore them and find ways to unify contrasting thoughts and beliefs. Internal conflict and splitting (internal discord) can result in having difficulty engaging in the world peacefully (i.e.discord with family members, coworkers).

What you can expect from our first session

I hope each person walks away with additional coping skills, resources and new ways of addressing the symptoms initially presented. My hope is that each person learns to be more self-aware and self-sustaining through the work done in therapy. I also encourage each person to advocate for themselves and be willing to explore themselves from a wholistic perspective.
