Great to meet you!

Dr. Sandy Moghadam

Transforming Relationships. Empowering Lives.

She earned both her Master's and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and Behavioral Sciences from Loma Linda University in California. She is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and is also certified in Family Court Mediation, Family Counseling, and Domestic Violence, and Life Coaching.

Dr. Moghadam is the creator of Cutting Edge Therapy — a scientific, state-of-the-art method designed for today's rapidly changing world. Her work is not one-size-fits-all. It is a multisystemic and multidimensional approach that honors what makes you uniquely you.

Rather than generalizing, categorizing, or labeling, she helps individuals, couples, families, and organizations see their relationships in a new light — and helps people help themselves in marriage, family, and social connections.

My approach to therapy

As an adjunct and visiting professor, Dr. Moghadam teaches graduate-level courses, Advanced Theories, Cross-Cultural Studies, Post Modern Parenting, and the Impact of Financial Crisis on Relationships and Mental Health.

Drawing on her unique background in both business and behavioral science, she developed an innovative integrative assessment model that looks at the whole person — biological, psychological, sociological, environmental, economic, spiritual, cultural, developmental, and situational factors — to understand not just what holds us back, but what moves us forward.

Her mission is simple and powerful: To help you navigate life's struggles, embrace its challenges, and achieve your highest potential — in your relationships and within yourself.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can share what brings you in at your own pace. We’ll review your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to get from therapy, so I can get a clear understanding of your needs and goals. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clear sense of how we will work together moving forward — there is no pressure to have all the answers right away.
