Great to meet you!

You’ve already taken an important step by being here. I’m Selena Hughes, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and I work with adults facing substance use, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, grief, and trauma. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re going through, better understand your patterns, and help you reconnect with your strengths so you can feel more hopeful and in control.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, empathetic, and focused on what feels most important to you. I draw from evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, EMDR, Ego State Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel open, supported, and genuinely understood.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you hope will feel different, and any questions you have about therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honored to support you in that process.
