Great to meet you!

Hello and Welcome!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 29 years of experience working in public schools and private practice. I earned my Master's Degree in Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina. I believe healing happens when people feel safe, understood, and supported, and I strive to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for growth and change. Together, we can address life's challenges, build resilience, and work toward achieving your personal goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, and I work alongside them to identify goals, build on strengths, and create meaningful change. I enjoy helping clients better understand their autonomic nervous system and how stress and trauma can affect the brain, body, emotions, and relationships. I incorporate Polyvagal Theory-informed interventions, listening therapies, and EMDR to support nervous system regulation, increase resilience, and promote healing and post-traumatic growth.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant history, and your goals for treatment. My priority is helping you feel heard, understood, and at ease while gathering information that will guide our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and begin developing a plan that supports your unique needs and goals.
