Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Senaida, a licensed Mental Health counselor and a Certified Addiction Counselor in the State of Florida with over 17+ years of experience providing mental health support and therapeutic services. Sometimes, when you are balancing work, relationships, family responsibilities, and your own emotional needs, it can feel like there is a very little room left to take care of yourself. Anxiety may leave you feeling overwhelmed, depression can make it difficult to find motivation or joy, and ongoing stress may affect how you show up in your relationships and daily life. I work with adults and seniors experiencing anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship issues and women's issues. These concerns can also interact with ADHD, bipolar disorder, sleep difficulties, family challenges, or panic, particularly when several areas of life begin to feel difficult to manage at once. Together, we can explore what has been weighing on you, build on your own existing strengths, and develop healthier ways to navigate life's challenges while making more room for your own wellbeing.

My approach to therapy

My professional approach emphasized creating a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. Our work will make room for both the person you are and the relationships, responsibilities, and experiences that have shaped you. We will explore how anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship issues and women's issues may be affecting your emotional wellbeing and ability to feel connected to yourself and others. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and practice more helpful ways of responding. Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy to help you become more aware of difficult thoughts and emotions without feeling consumed by them, amd Motivational Interviewing to explore change at your own pace while strengthning your confidence in your ability to move forward. Behavioral Family Therapy can help us better understand family dynamics, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges together. Our sessions will be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your needs, creating space for self-discovery while building practial skills that support meaningfule change in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

You don't need to have everything figured out before begining therapy. During our first sessions, we will take time to understand what has brought you here, what has been most difficult for you lately, and what you hope will feel different. Together, we will estabish goals that reflect your needs and priorities and ecide where it feels most helpful to begin. You can expect me to listen with warmth, patience and curiosity while creating a space where you can speak openly and feel respected. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel supported in understanding yourself, recognizing strengths and creating changes that feel meaningful and sustainable. When you are ready, you can schedule your first session with me through Headway.
