Great to meet you!

Life can feel incredibly heavy when you’re carrying the weight of depression, anxiety, or a mood disorder. My name is Serena Penrod, and I believe that healing doesn’t have to be stiff or clinical. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years of experience dedicated to being a fierce advocate for my clients, whether they are children finding their way or adults navigating life's toughest seasons.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is down to earth, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe therapy should feel like a safe and approachable space. A space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and share some laughs. Every person is different and I utilize the best evidence based approach according to each person. I focus strongly on building upon each person's strengths, resilience, and values, tailoring treatment to what works best for each person.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, my goal is to create a space where you feel completely safe and judgment-free. I’m known for being down-to-earth; I love to laugh and find moments of joy, even while we do the deep work of processing trauma. I use evidence-based practices tailored specifically to you, ensuring that our path forward is as unique as your story. It is a genuine honor to be trusted with your experiences, and I am here to help you move toward the life you deserve.
