Seth Erickson

My name is Seth Erickson and I specialize in working with individuals struggling with depression, trauma/PSTD and men who are struggling with emotional or social challenges.

As for my education, I have a Masters in Human Services Counseling with a Specialization in Crisis Response and Trauma. I also have a Masters in Social Work. I also completed a year long fellowship in Trauma-Based Behavior Health from Southern Illinois Universities School of Medicine.

In my counseling practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments to address depression, men’s issues, and trauma/PTSD. We focus on changing unhealthy thought patterns, setting goals, and engaging in meaningful activities through Behavioral Activation. For trauma, I combine CBT with narrative therapy to foster healing and post-traumatic growth. With a specialized education in crisis response and trauma, I’m dedicated to helping you overcome and thrive.

My clients can expect to take away practical tools and strategies to manage depression, improve mood, and regain control over their lives. You will find a safe space to discuss your struggles, set meaningful goals, and engage in value-driven activities through Behavioral Activation. For those dealing with trauma or PTSD, you will work on healing and fostering post-traumatic growth using CBT and narrative therapy, and empathy.
