Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Shabby Casey and I’m here to support you as you are experiencing the ups and downs on this journey we call life. We are not meant to do this alone, therefore, I am here to be your partner and sounding board. I primarily use Psychodynamic Therapy and CBT tools as my framework. My style is empowering and strengths based. I also believe in the power of laughter and silver linings. I received my BA from Berkeley and my Masters from NYU and have been practicing for 14 years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe that you have the inner wisdom to find the path that best serves you. Sometimes you just need someone to ask the right questions to help you connect to your own intuition. My style is very laid back and warm, engaging and supportive. I offer you fresh eyes and a new perspective to help you see your blind spots and move forward from whatever is holding you back.

What you can expect from our first session

Therapy is a place where we can be ourselves and reflect without judgement. Therefore, the relationship between you and your therapist should feel comfortable and safe, the way it would feel with a good friend. I actively listen to my clients and offer my thoughts, feedback, and observations. You are in charge of the sessions and will set your goals and intentions with my guidance and suggestions. Sessions flow organically.
