Great to meet you!
Shabnam has over 20 years of experience supporting children, teenagers, adults, and families across a wide range of setting. She brings a deep commitment to helping individuals and families heal, grow, and build resilience. Her background includes work in private practice, nonprofit agencies, group homes, and as a professional foster parent, where she has supported hundreds of youth and their families. Shabnam believes in each person's inherent capacity for resilience and positive change. Whether working with a child overcoming fears, a teenager managing stress, a young adult navigating relationships, or a family rebuilding connections, she offers thoughtful guidance and encouragement throughout the process. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, she helps client's identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns while developing practical coping strategies for everyday life. With children and teenagers, she often utilizes role-play and storytelling to make sessions engaging and developmentally appropriate. Her goal is to ensure that every client feels safe, understood, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
