Great to meet you!

I have utilized counseling skills within a co-occuring in-patient diverse population setting for over a decade and now assisting individuals with substance abuse disorders, as well as mental health disorders in a private practice setting. Dually Licensed in Alcohol and Drug Counseling and Clinical Mental Health. I have a down to earth, compassionate, supportive approach where trust and a strong rapport is built, allowing for meaningful growth. I meet clients where they are without judgement and create individualized treatment plans.

My approach to therapy

In sessions, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to assist with identifying and challenging unhealthy thoughts, beliefs and behaviors to work towards a more positive and healthier overall well-being. We will work together to gain insight into thinking patterns that tend to result in negative outcomes. I also use problem-solving therapy, focusing on client's strengths to assist with gaining insight into challenging situations or circumstances.

What you can expect from me

Be proud of yourself for taking the first step to recovery! Feeling overwhelmed or hopeless? I am here to assist with substance abuse recovery, depression, anxiety, trauma and any other life issues that may be hindering personal growth and overall well-being. Clients can expect support in a safe, non-judgemental, empathetic space, as we work together to identify presenting issues and establish treatment goals.
