Great to meet you!

Hey! You’re seeking help because it is needed. That’s huge! Many people don’t seek treatment or therapy but you’re already on this path. Some folks don’t find the path. You’ve got some idea of what you need and are ready for someone to be along with you on this journey. We both know humans succeed in a team not so much when we are alone. First, give yourself credit because it takes a lot of courage to not do things alone and to be willing to open up to someone you do not know. Your courage is where our journey together starts. It would be an honor to be a part of your team in life, for life!

My approach to therapy

I believe in creating a supportive, collaborative space where you feel safe, heard, and respected

A diagnosis or symptoms helps us to figure out a plan together, but it is NOT who you are.( Yeah, I know you heard that before, but it’s true!). High blood pressure does not define that person. Borderline personality, antisocial personality, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, substance use disorder, anxiety disorder, phobias, psychosis, self-harm, suicide attempts, and trauma does not define you either. Please KNOW you’re way more amazing, beautiful, and complex than a label. Let’s get started!

You are the expert on your life and your culture, your experience, and I bring my knowledge on the applications of medications and psychotherapy. My approach is centered on building trust through open communication, validation, and empathy. We’ll work as a team to explore your experiences, identify what matters most to you, and move toward meaningful change. I incorporate psychotherapy modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR-informed techniques, tailored to your unique needs.

What you can expect from me

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or simply seeking support, know that you don’t have to go through it alone. In our first session, we will review your life and goals and values. We will explore your concerns and begin creating a plan that aligns with your needs and values. Whether we focus on therapy, medication, or a combination, we’ll make decisions together. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can begin.
