Great to meet you!

I'm a Doctor of Clinical Social Work and my career began 20+ years ago in non-profit and community mental health settings serving diverse populations. It quickly became clear that the majority of my clients were suffering from complex trauma and felt misunderstood and alone. My ability to hold the space and their tenacity to reclaim their voices and power taught me the importance of the therapeutic alliance.

My approach to therapy

Everything great that happens in therapy is because of the collaboration between the client and the therapist. My goal is to provide you with a safe and empowering space where we can work through the challenges that are stopping you from reaching your full potential. I practice using a strengths-based and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral approach but I'm also trained in a variety of modalities to treat your unique challenges.

What you can expect from me

Deciding to participate in therapy can be a very tough decision and I'm honored that my clients allow me to join them on their journeys toward healing. I strive to make the therapy setting a non-judgmental and compassionate place for personal and emotional growth. Counseling is not one-size-fits-all so the goals we set determine what approaches are used and how we start your journey.
