Great to meet you!

I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely seen, understood, and accepted. I primarily work with college students and adults, as well as older teens, who may be navigating anxiety, panic, grief and loss, major life transitions, identity questions, relationship challenges, or a general sense of feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves.

I have been working in private practice since 2019 and offer virtual therapy throughout Colorado. I also provide in-person equine-assisted psychotherapy at my private ranch north of Longmont, where horses can offer a unique way to build self-awareness, confidence, connection, and emotional regulation. Whether we meet virtually or in person, my goal is to create a supportive space where you can be honest, explore what is beneath the surface, and develop a stronger sense of clarity, resilience, and direction.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I don’t believe therapy should feel clinical, rigid, or one-size-fits-all. I begin by taking the time to understand your story, your experiences, and what matters most to you. I view you as the expert on your own life, while my role is to offer thoughtful questions, new perspectives, practical tools, and gentle guidance as we work toward the changes you want to make.

My work is grounded in a person-centered approach and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, nervous-system education and regulation, parts work, and EMDR-informed techniques. Depending on your needs, we may explore how past experiences have shaped current patterns, identify the thoughts and beliefs contributing to anxiety or feeling stuck, or develop practical skills for managing emotions and responding differently to stress. I also pay close attention to what is happening in the body, since anxiety, grief, and difficult experiences often affect us physically as well as emotionally.

I value open, honest dialogue and believe that meaningful therapy can be both compassionate and appropriately challenging. I will meet you with acceptance and curiosity, while also helping you notice patterns, clarify what you truly want, and take steps toward greater confidence, connection, and emotional freedom. We will move at a pace that feels right for you, and the direction of our work will remain connected to your goals, values, and readiness.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily about getting to know one another and beginning to create a space where you can feel comfortable, grounded, and honest. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope might be different as a result of our work together. You’ll also have an opportunity to get to know me, ask questions, and get a feel for whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.

I view therapy as a meaningful time that you are intentionally setting aside for yourself—a place to slow down, pay attention to what is happening beneath the surface, and begin making sense of your experiences. In our first session, we’ll start identifying what you would like to focus on and what you hope to gain from therapy, without putting pressure on you to share everything at once.

Our work will move at a pace that feels right for you. You are always in control of what you choose to explore and when you feel ready to explore it. My role is to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, offer insight and practical support, and help guide the process so that we can move toward work that feels meaningful and genuinely helpful to you.
