Great to meet you!

As your therapist, I want you to know that I approach this work with authenticity, compassion, and purpose. Helping others is not just my profession, it's a calling that I have intentionally pursued. My journey into counseling was shaped by life experience, reflection, and a deep desire to support individuals and families in building healthier, more balanced lives. I value integrity, structure, and growth. I believe in setting healthy boundaries, practicing self-awareness, and modeling the same skills I encourage my clients to develop. I am committed to lifelong learning and professional development so that I can provide quality, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care. I believe in meeting clients where they are. I understand that everyone’s story is different, and healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. My approach is collaborative, I will walk alongside you, offer guidance, challenge you when necessary, and support you as you move toward your goals.

You should also know that I genuinely care about the progress and well-being of my clients. I strive to create a space that is safe, respectful, and free of judgment. Therapy requires vulnerability, and I honor the courage it takes to show up and do the work. Above all, I believe that growth is possible for everyone. No matter where you are starting from, change can happen with intention, support, and commitment and I am here to support you through that journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and holistic. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. I take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing the connection between mind, body, emotions, environment, and life experiences. Healing is not just about addressing symptoms, it is about understanding the whole person. I work with clients to explore how their thoughts, behaviors, relationships, stressors, physical well-being, and past experiences all interact and influence their overall functioning. Using a trauma-informed lens, I integrate evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, strengths-based approaches, and solution-focused techniques to help clients identify patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful change. I intentionally support clients in developing emotional awareness, improving self-regulation, and processing difficult experiences in a safe and structured way. I value structure and clarity in the therapeutic process. Together, we create individualized treatment plans with realistic and measurable goals. I believe therapy should provide both insight and practical tools that clients can apply in their everyday lives. Above all, I approach therapy with authenticity, respect, and compassion. Life transitions, trauma, stress, and unexpected challenges can feel overwhelming, but clients do not have to navigate them alone. My goal is to walk alongside each client on their journey, supporting growth, strengthening resilience, and promoting overall wellness in a balanced and sustainable way. Seeking support is a courageous step, and I am committed to creating a space where healing, empowerment, and transformation can occur.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a foundation of trust, safety, and collaboration. I understand that starting therapy can feel both empowering and nerve-wracking, so my goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. During our first session, we will review important information such as confidentiality, practice policies, and the overall structure of therapy. I will gather background information to better understand your concerns, current challenges, personal history, and what has led you to seek support at this time. We will also begin discussing your goals. I want to understand what change looks like for you and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we will start shaping a plan that aligns with your needs, strengths, and values. You can expect a collaborative and respectful conversation, not an interrogation. You are always in control of what you choose to share. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you begin identifying patterns, stressors, and strengths that will guide our work together. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer understanding of how we can move forward, what the therapeutic process may look like, and how I can support you in reaching your mental health and behavioral goals. Most importantly, you can expect compassion, professionalism, and a judgment-free environment where your growth and well-being are the priority.
