Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shanae Benito, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with support, compassion, and practical tools for change. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, stress, and life transitions. My approach combines evidence-based practices including TF-MCBT (Trauma-Focused Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy) while creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and seen. I believe healing is not about having all the answer. It's about taking the next step forward together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your unique needs and experiences. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (TF-MCBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard while building practical skills, emotional resilience, and meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and identify current challenges and strengths. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered while we begin creating a path toward meaningful growth and change.
