Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shancy, a licensed therapist with experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I earned my MSW from University of Nevada and completed my clinical hours at a nonprofit in St. Pete. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, stress, and self-criticism.

My approach to therapy

I approach psychotherapy from an integrative praxis utilizing cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, narrative, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and EMDR. I utilize a feminist and multicultural lens weaving interconnected ways of knowledge in my therapy work. My approach is warm, compassionate, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a collaborative space where you feel comfortable being yourself, understood without judgment, and supported in working toward the changes you want to make.

What you can expect from me

You'll leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and empowered. We'll address your treatment goals and I'll meet you where you're ready to start as you are the expert of your story. I encourage clients to voice their questions, concerns, and preferences for therapy sessions.
