Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker–Supervisor with more than 20 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families through trauma, stress, and complex life challenges. I hold a Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Law from the University of Washington. My background spans clinical, residential, correctional, and community-based settings, with a strong trauma-informed and skills-based approach.

I work with adults, first responders, military veterans, and healthcare professionals experiencing high levels of stress, burnout, and trauma exposure, as well as individuals navigating developmental trauma, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, and recovery from abuse or exploitation. I have extensive experience with justice-involved youth and adults, survivors of complex trauma, and families in crisis or transition.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in both clinical expertise and real-world understanding of high-stress environments. I believe therapy should feel practical, respectful, and focused on meaningful change — not just insight, but skills you can actually use in daily life. I work alongside clients to identify patterns, build emotional awareness, and develop effective coping strategies while also addressing the deeper experiences that shape thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral strategies, skills-based interventions, and attachment-focused, trauma-informed care. My work is especially supportive for individuals managing burnout, compassion fatigue, complex trauma, leadership stress, and major life transitions. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where clients feel safe being honest, challenged in healthy ways, and empowered to grow at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel welcoming, structured, and focused on getting to know you as a whole person — not just your symptoms or challenges. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping will change, and any important life experiences or stressors that may be impacting you right now. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your background, strengths, and goals, while also giving you space to share at your own pace.

We’ll begin identifying priorities and discussing what a helpful therapy process could look like for you, including practical next steps and approaches that fit your needs. You’re always welcome to ask questions — about therapy, my style, or anything you’re unsure about. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer sense of direction and partnership moving forward.
