Great to meet you!

Education:

New York University, New York, NY

Master of Social Work (MSW) - Clinical

University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA

Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Experience:

I have been practicing clinical social work in the metro D.C. area for over 24 years and have experience working with a variety of populations in a variety of outpatient, community, and hospital-based settings. Clients describe me as empathic, sensitive, intuitive, intellectually and emotionally savvy, authentic, sincere, non-judgmental, open-minded, warm, and easy to talk to.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy as a clinician is to be acutely and keenly attuned to you, your thoughts, feelings, emotional experiences, and life experiences. I am very open to and always welcome your input and feedback and experience with engaging in therapy with me as your clinician.

Countless academic and evidence-based studies prove that more so than any other factor (modality, intervention, or treatment-type), that the client/therapist relationship is the single most important factor in determining the success or effectiveness of therapy.

As the client, you determine and dictate your objectives and goals for therapy, and I commit to, am dedicated to, and very much invest in you meeting your objectives and goals as soon as humanly possible.

It is of paramount importance to me as your clinician to enable and assist you with improving the quality of your life, to enable and assist you with evolving/changing/transforming your life in whatever ways are important to you.

Engaging in therapy will improve and enhance in both very subtle as well as significant and obvious ways the ways in which you experience your inner and outer world in such a way that you are content with and at peace with your relationships and with the life that you are living and leading.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to experience being keenly attuned to and thoughtfully and inquisitively listened to, heard, and validated. Clients can expect to feel as though their time was spent meaningfully & productively. Clients can expect to feel "lighter".
