Great to meet you!

When life looks “fine” from the outside but feels overwhelming on the inside, therapy can help you slow down and find your footing again. I’m an LCSW with nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health field and over 20 years providing therapy to adults navigating anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, work-life imbalance, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with high-functioning professionals who are used to carrying a lot for others while quietly struggling with pressure, perfectionism, or exhaustion themselves.

Clients often describe my style as calm, steady, practical, and deeply supportive. I help you make sense of what is driving your stress, understand the patterns underneath your anxiety or burnout, and build realistic steps that help you feel more grounded, clear, and in control. I draw from CBT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies, but I tailor the work to your pace, needs, and goals. If you’re feeling stuck, drained, or ready for something to shift, I offer a space where you can breathe, regroup, and move forward with greater confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is calm, collaborative, and practical. I work with many adults who are managing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, emotional exhaustion, people-pleasing, and major life changes while still trying to keep up with work, family, and daily responsibilities. Together, we slow things down so you can better understand what is happening internally, identify what is contributing to your stress, and begin making meaningful changes that actually feel doable.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice and shift unhelpful thought patterns, solution-focused therapy to identify clear next steps, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you regulate stress, reconnect with yourself, and feel more present. I also draw from strength-based and mind-body approaches so therapy is not just about insight, but about helping you feel better in your day-to-day life. My goal is to offer a nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported while also leaving sessions with practical tools you can use between appointments.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, grounded, and non-overwhelming space where we begin by talking about what has been weighing on you. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy, the stressors or symptoms you’ve been experiencing, what has helped in the past, and what you hope will feel different moving forward. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin - we will start where you are.

I ask thoughtful, practical questions to help us understand the bigger picture, especially if you’ve been carrying stress, anxiety, burnout, or life transition concerns on your own for a long time. By the end of the session, my hope is that you leave with a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your distress, a sense of relief from being able to say things out loud, and one or two realistic next steps to begin moving forward. Most of all, I want you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident that therapy can be a steady place for meaningful change.
