Great to meet you!

I’m Shani McCaskill, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, grief, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting women who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward.

I believe therapy should be a warm, judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being honest about what you’re experiencing. I take the time to understand your unique story, strengths, and goals so our work feels personal to you.

Whether you’re working through difficult emotions, relationship or family concerns, grief, or simply ready for something to change, we’ll work together to build healthier coping skills, gain clarity, and help you feel more confident moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, direct, and solution-oriented. I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to you, not a one-size-fits-all experience.

I use approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based, and Humanistic Therapy to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while developing practical tools you can use in everyday life.

I’ll meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and challenge you when helpful. Together, we’ll focus on your goals and take meaningful steps toward creating the changes you want to see.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, and explore what you hope to accomplish. You can share at your own pace in a warm and supportive environment.

We’ll discuss your concerns, strengths, and goals and begin identifying where you’d like to start. You don’t need to have everything figured out before therapy begins. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and confident about taking the next step.
