Great to meet you!

At Whole Heart Healing & Counseling, we value authenticity and believe healing happens through collaboration. You are the expert on your life — my role is to offer guidance, clinical expertise, and practical tools that help you move toward the life you want to create.

I work with the full range of ages: infants and toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. That breadth informs how I practice — Play Therapy for very young children, family systems work for households navigating dynamics across generations, and individual therapy for adults carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and stress.

I'm an LCSW trained at Rutgers University, Camden, serving South Jersey via telehealth. As a Black female therapist, I bring a culturally responsive lens to my work — recognizing that systemic factors, cultural influences, and community context are not background noise, but central to mental health.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective therapy is grounded in both science and humanity — integrating evidence-based practices with genuine respect for each client's lived experience, because healing is not one-size-fits-all.

For young children, I use Play Therapy and Behavior Management approaches that meet them developmentally. For families, Bowen Family Systems helps map multigenerational patterns and understand how dynamics shape individual behavior. For trauma, Trauma-Focused CBT provides a structured, evidence-based path through difficult experiences. CBT addresses the thought patterns driving anxiety, depression, and anger.

I also recognize that systemic factors, cultural influences, and community relationships shape mental health in ways that can't be ignored — and I hold that awareness throughout our work.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know you — where you are, what's brought you to therapy, and what you're hoping will be different.

We'll talk about your current concerns, your goals, and any questions you have about the process. If you're bringing in a child, I'll make sure the session feels comfortable and age-appropriate for them too.

By the end, you'll have a clear sense of how we'll work together and what comes next.
