Great to meet you!

I believe therapy and psychiatric care should feel human, not clinical, rushed, or impersonal. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported from the very first conversation. I take time to understand your story, your values, and what you want your life to look like, not just your symptoms.

I bring over a decade of experience working in mental health and addiction, and I use a balanced approach that blends evidence-based treatment with compassion and real connection. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all care. Your treatment is collaborative, flexible, and designed to support long-term growth, not just short-term relief.

Above all, you should know that you will not be treated like a diagnosis. You will be treated like a person.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is grounded in building a genuine, trusting relationship and creating a safe space where you feel comfortable being open and honest. I believe effective treatment starts with listening. I take time to understand your experiences, challenges, and goals so that we can develop a plan that feels aligned with who you are and what you want for your life.

I use evidence-based practices and thoughtful medication management when appropriate, while also recognizing the importance of emotional support, education, and practical coping strategies. Care is always collaborative. We make decisions together, adjust as needed, and move at a pace that feels right for you.

My focus is not just on reducing symptoms, but on helping you build confidence, resilience, and a sense of control in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is focused on getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. We will talk about what brought you in, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of care. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you are ready for.

I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your mental health history, current concerns, and overall goals. Together, we will begin outlining a plan that feels realistic and supportive, whether that includes therapy, medication, or a combination of both.

Most clients leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more hopeful, with a clearer sense of next steps and the reassurance that they are not navigating this alone.
