Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shanna, a therapist passionate about helping people heal from the impact of trauma and rediscover a sense of safety, worth, and connection. Over the years, I’ve seen how traditional talk therapy alone often leaves clients feeling stuck, especially when it comes to the deep effects of complex PTSD and relationship struggles. That’s why I take a different approach.

My work combines polyvagal-informed, somatic, and emotionally focused strategies to help individuals reconnect with their bodies, release shame, and reclaim their authentic identity. For couples, I guide partners to see the hidden patterns driving their conflict, so they can rebuild felt safety and deepen their bond.

My approach to therapy

My work combines polyvagal-informed, somatic, and emotionally focused strategies to help individuals reconnect with their bodies, release shame, and reclaim their authentic identity. For couples, I guide partners to see the hidden patterns driving their conflict, so they can rebuild felt safety and deepen their bond.

I especially enjoy working with clients who are motivated and curious, even if they feel unsure of the path forward. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s happening, normalize the impact of trauma, and create a practical path toward lasting change. Healing isn’t just possible—it’s something you can begin to experience in the safety of our work together.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me always starts with relationship-building, connection, and ensuing clients feel empowered and at ease- it's collaborative work we do together. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel seen, understood, and supported—not blamed for your symptoms. Together, we'll create a safe and practical path forward toward healing. I prioritize client goals when determining appropriate modalities; however, I focus on trauma-informed, body-based (somatic), polyvagal informed methods that are more "bottom-up" than "top-down", instead of more 'talk therapy' styles. Lets together create a safe and connected space to heal and reset nervous systems and achieve goals you set!
