Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in home-based, out-patient, and school-based social work, where I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, adolescents, and families through some of life’s most challenging seasons. My experience has given me a deep understanding of the pressures young people and families face and the importance of having a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted.

I work with children, adolescents, and families experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship or family challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and other areas that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be individualized to each person, so I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches based on your unique needs and goals. I often incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based and solution-focused approaches, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and coping-skills development. I also value looking at the whole person and exploring how relationships, past experiences, thought patterns, and current circumstances may be impacting how you feel today. My style is collaborative, practical, and conversational. I want you to leave therapy not only feeling heard and supported, but also with tools you can actually use in your everyday life. For clients who wish to incorporate their Christian faith, I can also integrate faith-based practices and discussions into our work together.

What you can expect from me

My goal for your first session is to create a space where you can exhale, feel comfortable, and know that you don’t have to have everything figured out. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, talking about what brought you to therapy, and identifying what you would like to be different in your life. Together, we’ll begin developing goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. I strive to create an environment that is warm, relaxed, nonjudgmental, and genuine; therapy with me is a conversation, not an interrogation. You can expect to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer idea of what our work together might look like moving forward.
