Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Shannon, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana with 21 years of experience. I work with adults and seniors facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and family or relationship struggles, meeting you wherever you are and helping you find steadier ground.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, so we work with both the thoughts driving anxiety or depression and the stories you tell yourself about what happened. For trauma, I use Cognitive Processing Therapy to help the past stop running the present. I draw on Solution Focused and Emotion Focused methods to rebuild connection and communication, and I use Gestalt and strength based techniques to help you notice what is already working. Whether you're managing substance use, ADHD, a chronic health condition, or grief, sessions are practical, collaborative, and paced to where you are

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other: what brought you in, what you've already tried, and what you want to be different. From there we build a plan together as a team, revisiting it as we go so therapy keeps meeting you where you are.
