Great to meet you!

My name is Shannon Boyer, and I am a licensed mental health therapist with a master’s degree in counseling. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate personal and emotional challenges while building confidence, resilience, and healthier relationships. I provide compassionate, client-centered care and believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to feel heard and understood. My goal is to help clients discover their strengths, develop effective coping skills, and work toward greater emotional well-being and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I use evidence-based techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches. I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we will identify challenges, build on existing strengths, and develop practical tools to create meaningful, lasting changes in your life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is to create a welcoming, comfortable environment where you feel safe, heard, and respected. We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring your concerns and goals. I will listen without judgment and work with you to identify what you hope to achieve through counseling. Together, we will begin developing a personalized plan that supports your emotional well-being and personal growth. My goal is for you to leave feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the journey ahead.
