Great to meet you!

As a Registered Play Therapist and AutPlay-certified clinician, I specialize in helping children and teens who are struggling with big feelings, challenging behaviors, and social or school-related stress. Since 2005, I’ve worked closely with kids, adolescents, and their families to create a safe, welcoming space where they can express themselves through play, creativity, and conversation. I partner with caregivers, teachers, and other supports as needed, so your child is not working through these challenges alone. My goal is to help them understand themselves better, build confidence, and feel more in control of their emotions and choices.

My approach to therapy

I believe that lasting change happens when children feel safe, understood, and genuinely accepted. In our work together, I draw from play therapy, AutPlay, and other evidence-based approaches to meet your child at their developmental level and unique personality. Sessions might include play, art, stories, or structured activities to help them process feelings, practice coping skills, and learn new ways to handle frustration or anxiety. I also see caregivers as essential partners in the process, and I provide guidance, tools, and feedback you can use at home so progress continues between sessions.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other, reducing any anxiety about therapy, and understanding what has been difficult for your child and your family lately. I’ll take time to listen to your concerns, learn about your child’s strengths and interests, and answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. Together, we will create a clear plan with realistic goals and steps we can take both in and out of session. Throughout our work, you can expect a warm, patient, and collaborative style, regular check-ins about progress, and a supportive space where you and your child do not have to navigate these challenges alone.
