Great to meet you!

Do you find yourself overthinking how to be in your relationships, no matter what you do? Are you fed up with taking care of everyone around you while your needs go unseen and unmet, feeling anxious and unworthy unless you're productive, doubting if anyone sees the real you and cares about your struggles? You might not remember a time when you didn't feel this way. For many, our early experiences didn't teach us what it looks like to balance ourselves and others in relationship. But right now, you are ready be seen and heard, ready to feel less overwhelmed. Most of all, you are ready for more connected, satisfying relationships.

Clients come to me when they need a therapist who feels like a real person who is by their side to figure it out. Therapy should be a place where you feel safe to be vulnerable, not judged for struggling or left lost in big feelings with no direction. You will leave feeling validated and clear on what you need and how to get it met in healthy, realistic ways.

As an experienced family therapist, I believe that our relationships impact our entire life, even our sense of self. You don't have to continue feeling disconnected or burnt out, whether it's your spouse, your kids, or your friends and family. We can figure out together how to move relationships towards true connection. I have been in a similar position in my relationships and done the hard work of practicing what I preach, not only reading it in a book or taking a training. You don't have to figure it out alone. A bit about my approach to therapy

I have over 12 years experience providing individual and family therapy to better understand what unmet needs are driving hurtful patterns and how to move towards more connected, satisfying relationships. I go beyond talk therapy, incorporating mind and body work, and reprocessing memories with ART to alleviate symptoms and shift behavior patterns. Together we will get you unstuck, recharged, and prepare you to live a more connected, satisfying life going forward.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe that the client is always in the driver's seat of therapy. You decide where we are going and how fast (or slow) we go. My role is to be your navigator in the passenger seat. I've got a map and I've been on journeys like this before. I will help you figure out how to get wherever you need to be and be with you along the way. You don't have to be stuck and you don't have to face it alone.

This metaphor about who is in control of therapy is a key part of why my clients get results. Often I encounter people who have only known self-doubt and distrust of others because of the ways they have been hurt. If I were to be in the driver's seat, dictating their journey, I would just be another person in their life undermining and disempowering them. By providing each client a safe space to explore, they discover how capable they really are. Clients learn how to listen to themselves, meet their own needs, and connect with others in a way that balances vulnerability and protection. Our relationship is more important than my agenda.
