Great to meet you!

I began my career working as a therapist for children that had experienced trauma (sexual and/or physical abuse). I also have drug counseling experience working at an outpatient addiction treatment center assisting adults working towards sobriety. My full-time job is working as a professional school counselor at an alternative school. My goal as a counselor is to help individuals feel seen and heard while exploring their current thoughts and behaviors. I strongly believe that all behavior is a form of communication.

My approach to therapy

My approach to treatment with patients is heavily supported by the rapport that I build. A great rapport gives me as a therapist a better understanding of how to facilitate sessions, approach sensitive topics, and support the patient in reaching their goal.

What you can expect from me

A first session with me would include going over guidelines and expectations of therapy sessions, what clients would like to get out of therapy, building rapport, and making sure that the therapeutic relationship would be a good fit.
