Great to meet you!

If you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, or depression, know that you're not alone. Hello, my name is Shannon. Join me on a path to healing; together, we can tap into your inner resilience and foster healing from the inside out. I believe in the transformative power of therapy and commit to thoroughly understanding your unique experiences. With three decades of experience in addressing issues like significant loss, psychological distress, and relational trauma, I am here to support you.

My approach to therapy

I very much like a positive and holistic approach to therapy. My approach is based in existential / humanistic assumptions, and progressive models of human growth / development. Building authentic, genuine, open, and honest relationships are fundamental, and have been instrumental for the past 30 years of helping people find their way through difficult times. Although I'm qualified in many counseling approaches, my focus is always on you and your life journey - not a technique.

What you can expect from me

In therapy, you should anticipate feeling respected, validated, and understood. You should progress in your goals and make change, such as enhanced self-awareness, the adoption of new coping mechanisms, enhanced relationships, reduced anxiety & depression, and a feeling of personal development. My office is a safe space to delve into all your thoughts and emotions, including those you may find embarrassing or trivial. I am eager to listen to your story and understand what matters to you.
