Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shanon. I know it can be difficult to reach out for therapy, especially when you’ve been doing your best to manage things on your own. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or simply unsure of what to do differently. I enjoy helping people better understand what’s getting in the way, recognize their strengths, and feel more confident navigating the things they’re dealing with.

My approach to therapy

We will work together to tailor sessions to address your unique concerns related to both your mental health and emotional wellbeing, with the goal of developing practical tools for you to manage stress effectively in personal and professional settings. I blend evidence-based techniques with a lighthearted, down-to-earth, but direct style that incorporates humor to foster connection, reduce defensiveness, and make change feel achievable.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for me to learn more about you, what brings you to therapy, and what you would like to work on. We’ll talk about what has been going on, what you’ve already tried, and what you hope will be different. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. From there, we’ll begin identifying goals and deciding together what may be most helpful moving forward.
