Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. My professional background includes individual therapy, executive functioning, relationship concerns, anxiety, life transitions, and multicultural counseling. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds and have a special interest in helping people who feel stretched thin, overwhelmed, or stuck reconnect with themselves and move forward with intention.

Outside of therapy, I'm an entrepreneur, recording artist, and lifelong learner who enjoys cooking, staying active, dancing to Zumba and Afrobeats, listening to jazz and old-school R&B, and spending time with family and close friends. Those experiences remind me that life is about more than getting through the day. It's about creating a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and aligned with who you are.

My approach to therapy

I'm action-oriented. We can spend session after session talking about the past...the who, the what, the when, the why, and the how. And we should. That's part of healing. But eventually, we shift from insight to action.

My job isn't to tell you what to think or make decisions for you. My job is to help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns, and figure out what's keeping you stuck. I will gently challenge you. You may not always agree with me, and that's okay. Let's slow things down, get curious, practice discernment, and see what the evidence tells us. If the evidence points us in a different direction, we'll explore that too.

Sometimes the issue isn't just you. Sometimes it's the people you interact with, the environments you're in, or the stories you begin telling yourself after something triggers your nervous system. Together, we'll sort through what's yours to own, what isn't, and what you can choose to change. And yes...you may hear me say, "What we're not about to do is make other people's problems our problems." Sometimes the next step isn't difficult because you don't know what to do. Sometimes it's difficult because taking that step requires courage, vulnerability, or tolerating discomfort. We'll work on that together.

What you can expect from me

Many of the people I work with are carrying a lot. They often feel stretched thin, pulled in multiple directions, and under pressure. Some don't even realize they've neglected their own needs because they're so focused on holding everything together. If you're willing to do something different but aren't sure where to begin, we may be a good fit.

During our first session, we'll begin making sense of what's been getting in your way and identify where you'd like to go from here. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and open to working on something between now and our next session. Sometimes that means being willing to think differently. Other times, it means taking one specific step. That's still progress. It's still forward movement...toward your foreseeable future.
