Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly 30 years of experience working with children, teens, young adults, and families. Throughout my career, I have worked in schools, community mental health, private practice, and family counseling settings, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, family conflict, and life transitions.

I’m certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and acceptance-based approaches, as well as mindfulness/yoga in my practice. My goal is to create a supportive, practical, and collaborative environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and skills-focused. I believe people are doing the best they can with the tools they currently have, and I also believe they can learn new skills and make meaningful changes in their lives.

I work hard to make therapy understandable and useful, breaking complex concepts into simple, actionable steps clients can apply in everyday life. Whether we're addressing anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, self-harm, family conflict, or stress, my goal is to help clients feel more capable, resilient, and confident in managing life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I want to hear your story, learn about your strengths, identify your concerns, and understand what you hope will be different as a result of our work together.

Clients often tell me they feel comfortable quickly because I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where they can be themselves. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and optimistic about the path forward.
